TED is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to discovering, debating and spreading ideas that spark conversation, deepen understanding and drive meaningful change. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda. We welcome people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.

In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxTUDarmstadt, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTUDarmstadt event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Expect a full evening of thought-provoking talks, performances, and networking with curious minds. Breaks and interactive sessions make it a unique experience.

TEDxTUDarmstadt is organized by a team of passionate students and young professionals from TU Darmstadt and the surrounding community, all working voluntarily.

Talks may be in either language, depending on the speaker.
